I’m Iain, along with Jimmy and Ed, I handle the repairs here at Jimmy Egypt’s Guitar Repair Shop within CC music. I have been repairing guitars for over 5 years with Jimmy Egypt and until recently I was the main tech at Freshman guitars. During this time I have travelled the world and visited several guitar factories in China where I was involved in quality control and design aspects of the guitar production. I also attended a weekend intensive training course in Amsterdam last year that really opened my eyes. I also teach guitar and have done for several years as well as play in several bands. I gig 2 or 3 times a week so I have a good understanding about live sound and equipment which helps a lot when it comes to advising customers in achieving the sound they are after with guitars, amps and pickups.
